How it is used
We use the information to understand and respond to your inquiry. Your selected topic helps give the conversation context, whether it concerns incubation, a platform upgrade, a Case Study, or the studio itself.
Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing messages. It starts a conversation. It does not create an account or commit either side to working together.
How it reaches us
When the form creates an email draft, the details stay in your browser until you open the draft in your email app. Your email provider may retain the draft or message under its own policies when you choose to send it. When direct submission is available, the details are sent through Resend to the American Labs inbox. American Labs and its email providers then handle the message according to their systems and retention practices. This website does not keep a separate database of inquiry submissions.
For careers conversations, you can select a role, share a portfolio link, and attach a PDF resume. We use these materials to review your interest in working with us and respond. With direct submission, the resume is delivered through Resend as an email attachment; it is not published on this website or stored in a public file directory. If you use an email draft, attach the resume yourself in your email app.
Site operation
Fonts, artwork, and the animated office preview are served with the site. First-party analytics run on our Umami instance at stats.american.al when you visit this production site. The script is configured to honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control, sends limited page and event information, and does not record form contents. It does not run on local previews. Hosting and service providers may process technical information needed to deliver requests, such as network, browser, and delivery details.
When you submit a question in Ask, your message and recent conversation context are sent through our server to our configured AI provider, Mistral AI or Groq, to generate an answer. Only the selected provider receives the conversation, and processes it under its own privacy terms. Avoid sharing sensitive or confidential information. We do not save chat messages in a website database; the latest 100 chat messages are saved in local storage in this browser so you can return to the conversation. Older messages are automatically removed as new ones arrive. You can delete this history by clearing stored data for this site in your browser.
Your preferences
We use your browser’s local storage to remember your temperature unit, clock format, whether the project showcase timer is paused, and the latest Ask conversation. These settings keep the site behaving the way you chose when you return. They are not submitted with an inquiry. The site may also use session storage in the current tab to restore your scroll position after navigation or a reload.
You can change these preferences using the site controls or remove them by clearing this site’s stored data in your browser. Clearing it restores the defaults. Clearing session storage removes the saved scroll positions.
External services
Choosing to watch the office tour loads YouTube’s API and an embedded player from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced host. YouTube then receives technical information needed to deliver the video. The API and player are not loaded until you choose to play it. Direct YouTube, venture, social, and map links take you to services operated by others; their privacy practices apply once you open those destinations.
The footer weather display asks our server for forecasts from MET Norway for the four fixed studio locations. We do not collect or forward your location for that request. Email links open your email application, where your provider handles any message you choose to send.
Questions or requests
You can ask about information you have shared, including a correction or deletion request. Tell us which inquiry or conversation your request concerns so we can locate it. Do not send identity documents with your initial request.
